Nigerian actress, Adunni Ade, has called out Instagram for tampering with some celebrities’ accounts including hers. She said that accounts with less followers now get more engagements on their posts which is not meant to be so.
She also said that her Instagram account which is one of her sources of income should not be tampered with because she works very hard. In her words:
“@INSTAGRAM @ZUCK HI THERE! I KNOW YOU’VE GOT A MILLION +1 OTHER ISSUES TO FIX BUT I HAVE A VALID QUESTION TO ASK, WHY HAVE Y’ALL DECIDED TO TAMPER WITH A LOT OF OUR ACCOUNTS? THIS HAS GONE ON ALL YEAR LONG BUT INTENSIFIED IN THE LAST MONTH DURING THE PROTESTS OUT HERE.
ARE YOU WORKING WITH THE NIGERIAN GOVERNMENT OR SOMETHING? I WORK TOO HARD FOR MY SOURCE OF TO BE TAMPERED WITH. COULD YOU KINDLY RECTIFY MY ACCOUNT (AND ACCOUNTS OF OTHERS) LIVING OUT THIS WAY? WHY WOULD AN ACTIVE ACCOUNT WITH THIS MUCH FOLLOWING HAVE LESS ENGAGEMENTS? BUT FOLKS WITH 5% HAVE LOADS OF ENGAGEMENTS WITHIN MINUTES? THANK YOU IN ADVANCE”
